Landscape Materials is seeking a full-time Diesel Mechanic to work at our supply yard in Hillsborough, NJ. Duties include working on fleet delivery vehicles and heavy-duty equipment. Maintains diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting vehicle deficiencies; making adjustments and alignments; keeping records.

Essential Duties:
⦁Inspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing repairs and maintenance on trucks/equipment. Engine diagnostics a plus.
⦁Welds equipment (not required but will train if necessary)
⦁Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
⦁Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
⦁Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets the manufacturer's specifications and legislated regulations.
⦁Able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
⦁Must possess the strength and stamina required to work with heavy equipment and work in awkward positions.
⦁The ability to work alone or as a team.
⦁The ability to keep up with changing technology and updates. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
⦁Must supply own tools
⦁Must be able to lift 50 pounds
⦁Must understand English

Starting Salary: $19.00 - $25.00 /hour

Working Hours: 7:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday
7:30 am - 3:00 pm Saturday (in season) April - November
